Tim Palmer – Author, Wild and Scenic Rivers: An American Legacy 

Tim Palmer is the award-winning author of 25 books about rivers, conservation, and adventure travel. He is a photographer of America’s natural landscapes and a dynamic public speaker with inspiring slide shows about a range of environmental topics. 6:30 PM-9:00 PM     Film Screening & Panel Discussion   – Sponsored by CUAHSI’s Let’s Talk About Water program

Location: NAU Cline Library Assembly Hall

This year’s screening themed The Wild & Scenic Rivers Act: 50 Years of Conservation & Beyond  features  3 short films produced by American Rivers.

6:30-6:45 pm – Hors d’oeuvres & Raffle purchases

6:45-8:20 pmLet’s Talk About Water: The Wild & Scenic Rivers Act: 50 Years of Conservation & Beyond  Film Screening series and panel discussion supported by a generous grant from CUAHSI. Three Short Films by American Rivers:

  • 62 Years: The Green and Yampa Rivers (9:00)
  • Avanyu – Protecting the Rio Grande (8:10)
  • Every Bend – Protect Our Wild Rivers (7:54)

8:20-9:00 pm – Student presentation awards and raffle results announced; closing remarks

Raffle Grand Prize: Two day rafting trip on the Wild and Scenic Rio Chama offered by Los Rios River Runners ($700 value). More information about the trip can be found here.
